Terms of use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use RowMarker on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these terms and the rules of the App Store and Google Play.

You must be old enough to enter into a binding agreement in your country of residence — at least the age of digital consent where you live — to use RowMarker. If you are under that age, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.

RowMarker is free to download and use. We also offer an optional one-time in-app purchase, "RowMarker Pro," which unlocks additional convenience and power-user features. RowMarker Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — there is no recurring charge, and the features you unlock stay yours.

We may add to or adjust the set of features included in Pro as the app evolves, but we will not move a feature that was previously available for free behind the paywall. Importing patterns — including the optional Ravelry connection — and getting your data in and out always remain free.

All purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their respective terms. Puhvi does not handle or receive your payment-card details. You can restore a previous purchase on another device signed in to the same Apple or Google account using the "Restore Purchases" option in the app.

Refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play according to their refund policies. Any mandatory statutory rights you have as a consumer — including any right of withdrawal under applicable law — remain unaffected.

RowMarker is a tool for tracking your progress through knitting and crochet patterns you already have the right to use. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to import, store, or otherwise use any pattern, PDF, photo, or other content you bring into the app.

We do not redistribute or share patterns. Anything you import — whether from a file, the camera, a share sheet, or Ravelry — is for personal use on your own device only.

You retain all rights to your own content. RowMarker does not store your content on our servers.

The optional Ravelry sign-in feature lets you connect your Ravelry account so the app can browse your library and fetch patterns directly from Ravelry's API. Your Ravelry access token is stored only on your device, in the platform's secure storage.

RowMarker is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Ravelry LLC. Your use of Ravelry through RowMarker is also subject to Ravelry's own terms of use and privacy policy.

You agree to use the Ravelry features only with patterns and library entries you have the right to access on Ravelry.

The Ravelry connection — signing in, browsing your library, and fetching patterns — is available to every RowMarker user at no charge and is never part of any paid upgrade. RowMarker Pro unlocks features within the app; it does not sell or resell access to Ravelry's API or data.

You agree not to: reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app except as permitted by law; use RowMarker to infringe anyone's copyright or other intellectual-property rights; use RowMarker to violate Ravelry's terms or those of any other third-party service; or interfere with the operation of the app or website.

We may release updates that add, change, or remove features. We may also update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of RowMarker after a material update means you accept the updated terms.

RowMarker is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Puhvi will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, lost projects, lost time, or lost profits arising out of or relating to your use of RowMarker. Our total liability for any claim relating to RowMarker will not exceed the amount you paid for the app, including any in-app purchase, in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law — for example, liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or your statutory consumer rights.

Because you choose what patterns and other content to bring into RowMarker, you — not Puhvi — are responsible for having the right to use it. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover Puhvi's reasonable costs, including legal fees, if a third party brings a claim against us that arises directly from content you imported into the app in breach of these terms or of that third party's rights — for example, a pattern you did not have the right to use.

This does not apply to anything caused by Puhvi's own acts or omissions, and nothing here limits your mandatory rights as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.

You can stop using RowMarker at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access to RowMarker if you materially breach these terms.

These terms, together with our privacy policy, the app store's own license agreement, and — if you use the Ravelry features — Ravelry's terms, make up the whole agreement between you and Puhvi about RowMarker.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in full effect. If we do not enforce a part of these terms right away, that is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours — for example, if Puhvi is reorganised or acquired — but not in a way that reduces your rights as a consumer.

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence continue to apply.
